8th Hindu Temple

In March 2015 we inaugurated the 8th Hindu temple we built in Sri Lanka. This time it was for very poor low cast families who live in Mulative district. The region was badly affected by war and I am glad that we were able to help them to have a place of worship. The whole community came together and organized a colorful and joyful celebration to open the temple for public. They sang devotional songs and performed cultural dance.

When I was looking for a sponsor Mr. Anura Perera whole heartedly agreed to pay the total cost of construction. His financial assistance helped us to build this temple. Construction work and money management was coordinated by my Mongolian student Sujatha. He is a monk and lives in Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan Army who was in charge of construction provided free labor and supervised the work. Finally in March 2014 we were able to hand over the temple to the community. I offer my Gratitude and blessings to all who were involved and special thanks to Mr. Perera for his generosity.
