Books Arrive in the Philippines
The 2500 books we sent to distribute to school libraries affected by the typhoon have arrived in Tacloban. The books were sought out in The Asian Development School in Tacloban and soon will also be sent to other schools in the area. I was very happy to be there to witness the distribution of the books. Since I know how much time and energy it took us to organize and ship the books, it was especially satisfying to see that the books have safely arrived and are ready to be used by students.
Their excitement to receive the valuable books was obvious as they welcomed me to the school by school director Mrs. Elisa Chua and the librarian with thank you signs held up to express their gratitude and appreciation.
