Distributing More Medical Equipment

As I returned to Tacloban city, Philippines in July 2014 to continuing our humanitarian projects, I was able to distribute medical equipment to four more health care centers. We continue to support and care for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban, Philippines because we know the hardships and challenges they still face as they try to rebuild their devastated lives. Again we were able to provide most essential medical equipment to four more village health centers. The package included a wheelchair, a pair of crutches, a weighing scale, blood pressure monitor, stethoscope, and a defibrillator.

When the typhoon devastated the Island of Tacloban, most of the medical centers got damaged or destroyed and they also lost all their medical equipment. In my previous visits we have distributed similar packages of essential medical equipment to 40 health centers.

The President of the Village Chairman’s Committee, Mrs. Eden Chua reached out to me again and informed me about 4 other health centers which urgently needed medical equipment. We are glad that we were able to fulfill her request with the financial help of Dr. Zhao and her family of Chinese General Clinic, Nairobi, Kenya. The medical equipment for all four health centers was sponsored by Dr. Zhao Weijie and family. We are grateful to Dr. Zhao and family for continuing to support our typhoon relief efforts in the Philippines.

Following are the four village health centers that received our care package:

  1. Barangay 43-A, Quarry District, Tacloban City
  2. Barangay 66-A, Anibong District, Tacloban City
  3. Barangay 66, Rawis Anibong, Tacloban City
  4. Barangay 95-A, Caibaan, Tacloban City
