We paved two hundred yards of slippery path that led to the bridge with concrete steps.

Bhante Wimala and another monk having a personal experience of what the villagers must go through everyday to cross the river. Whenever the water level raises the villagers have the problem of crossing the river.

This man has been dreaming all his life of having a bridge to cross the river. He has gotten swept away by the current and survived. Finally the dream has come true and now he knows that his children and grand children will be safe. He came down to the river to express his gratitude to Bhante.

Bhante measures for the new bridge. One hundred and seventy feet long, fifteen feet high and five and a half feet wide.
