Pantirippu, a small village in south east of Sri Lanka lost about 90 people and all their houses were completely destroyed. The ruin of the hospital building is the only structure left standing. The serving family members gathered here to perform a memorial service for the lost loved ones. Bhante Wimala led the service with two other monks
