Independence Day Celebration in Nairobi

Sri Lanka became an independent, sovereign nation on February 4, 1948. On February 4, 2013, the Sri Lankan Independence Day celebration was held on the premises of the Sri Lanka High Commission in Nairobi. The event was organized by the Honorable High Commissioner, Mr. T. Raveenthiran, and the Sri Lankan community of Kenya. Venerable Bhante led the religious services on this special occasion.
